Hola!

I’m Abi Jones, a designer and professional frozen food reviewer. You probably got here from my Twitter profile, and in that case you might already know that I Twitter at @jonesabi.

More About Me

  • I’ve lived in six different states in this order:
    ORWATXPADCCA
I know, DC is sort of not a state.
  • Before I became a designer I was a 3rd grade teacher.
  • Before I was a 3rd grade teacher I worked for my family’s wrestling singlet business. My favorite part of that job was designing singlets. My least favorite part of that job was standing for 8 hours a day, cutting fabric.
  • If was crazy rich, I’d become a Thomas Edison of the 21st century. Since I don’t have a workshop I just make drawings and paper prototypes.
  • For more background I have an about page and a blog and a frozen food review site.

Why & How I Use Twitter

  • I care about the minutiae of my friends’ lives.
  • I like meeting people via Twitter, especially folks in my industries (technology, food, writing embarrassing things about oneself online).
  • Most of my tweets are personal in nature. I don’t retweet cool articles about the web, or quote people at conferences or post links to my blog (unless someone wrote a hilarious review of an unfortunate frozen food).
  • Twitter is my place for observations on design, robotic foods, and food memes gone too far.
  • I don’t follow everyone back right away (so don’t feel bad about it!), but if we start @ing each other on a regular basis, I’ll probably want to hear the minutiae of your life, too.

Bookcrossing

I recently released:

Mollie Stone's Market

I'm a voracious reader and avid bookcrosser. Bookcrossing means reading a book and then releasing it into the wild for someone else to find. See previously released books on Flickr.

C25k

I'm training for a race:

Here's the latest photo from a training run. I use a lot of tools to motivate me into running, including the iPhone apps Foursquare and C25K.
